NCG OFFICIAL STATEMENT

(Please be reminded that NCG only releases statements via NCG wall or our blog.)

This is the final and official statement of NCG.
We, the Nosebleed Cosplayers’ Guild, would like to express our sincerest apology to the public, especially to the Cosplay Community if we unintentionally tainted it’s image. This statement would like to discuss certain issues involving our guild and our former members.

For people who don’t know yet, we voluntarily fired all of our members, hopefully for them not to be involved by the issue. We are sad to say that our guild got so big and we admit that there was a lack of “filtering” that we made in the past that came to a point that we can no longer control them.

First we would like to discuss the issue involving US (collectively) to the “Rally” that happened last May 08, 2010 (MOA). False accusations arrived saying that the Administration of NCG planned the said rally. And to clear things out, NO OFFICERS OF NCG commanded our former members to join/organize the rally which we think is very scandalous. Without our command, they joined the said rally and began to march along MOA. Maybe because of the frustration due to long hours of travel and effort, the burst of emotions came out and failed to see the objective. And with these acts of our former members, we are giving our apology to all, especially to our Cosplay Community seniors and co-cosplayers. We take it as our bad, we were not able to handle our responsibility that well.

Another issue that we would like to discuss is the POSER ACCOUNTS ROAMING IN BLOGS. NCG OFFICERS did not post any comments to the hate blogs referring to us. We are trying to seek peace and order by posting our statement thru the NCG wall, note and NCG blog only, not creating hate blogs or reciprocating the negative issues about us. As ONE we hope that bloggers (no one in specific) as online writers learn to be credible with their posts. Credibility is one thing that a writer must possess. We saw several fake accounts saying that they are NCG officers, most of them intended to comment to pull our image down. If we have offended anybody in any form, intentionally or not, we are sorry.

To the bloggers, please do not take this personally,

False posts and libelous contents contribute more damage to local cosplay. It contributes more than a new guild of amateurs who just want to enjoy.

Please give us peace. It is really hard to defend ourselves if we’ve been stereotyped as something bad.

For the issue of us planning to destroy future conventions (TOYCON to be specific), it is absurd.
If you’ll try to investigate more, you’ll see that the image is purely edited (see the tagged people’s spacing area).
Most of us are just beginners, we don’t have any power to do that nor mass members to command. Not to offend, but please guys.. be more analytical. We won’t hammer our own coffins. We enjoyed attending Conventions and we are not crazy to plan something against CONS. And to post name to that kind of fake statement is like hammering nails to own coffin.

To the staff of TOYCON, we are sorry if you got alarmed by the issue, but Black Propagandas are simultaneously appearing against us. With dignity we will say, we did not and will not plan anything against your EVENT. If given a chance, we would like to talk to the staff of the event personally to clarify ourselves if needed.

NOSEBLEED COSPLAYERS’ GUILD MADE SEVERAL MISTAKES IN THE PAST. And we are proud to say that we’ve learn from these mistakes which made us grow. To the people who have been hurt by any of us, again, we are sorry. To the people who pre-judged us, we thank you.

To the people who still believe in us, we would like to thank whole-heartedly. After this post, please stop trash talking in blogs, notes or other people.

Since we already delivered our side, we would like to ask peace from everyone. Our respect and support to the Cosplay scene will still be there. Thank you for letting us join this community in a short time, we really had fun. This is not just about the seniority, but a mutual respect to the people who share the mutual interests with us. Thank you for hearing our side for the very last time. This is our last statement we suppose..

NCG is now on an indefinite leave. We think that filtering the guild will take long, so we raise the white flag before anybody gets involved again.

We wish peace to everyone and may the Good LORD bless and keep us all.
-NCG OFFICERS
Signing off for an indefinite leave. Thank you.

A Happy Birthday to the Founder of NCG!

This day is a special day for NCG as it would celebrate the birthday of the founder of the group, Alvin Domanais or more known as Palamunin Lang or PAL for short. Since he is the visionary and made into reality this dream, it would be right for us to give tribute to him. From simple greetings via text and facebook, I would also extend this bllog post for more people to know about him (just in case many would still don't know). Well, just another well wisher for his 19th birthday but this kid made a lot of difference to a lot especially to the cosplay community so it would be fit for him to receive this ovation . A certified brewster, otaku, cosplayer and  dubbed as "ang mataas tumalon".

Happy Birthday from NCG!

NCG celebrates 2nd EB at Ozine fest 2010!

The Nosebleed Cosplayer's Guild celebrates its 2nd Grand eyeball at the 3rd day of the Ozine fest. And on this day, on the facebook page it has passed the 1100 fans and still growing. So far, there were  more than a hundred member who attended for the event mostly in cosplay or costrip. Ozine fest runs for 3 days starting from April 9 which is a holiday. But there were members who attended the first and second days for the competitions and other events.

All of the officers were present to attend to the members as there were a lot of new members   who met the regular members and eventually are getting to know each other. However, due to the number of the members and the venue, finding a  space for the guild was quite a challenge. Unlike at TAGCOM and PCC that was held in Robinson's Place Manila, in which the venue provides ample space for the bags of the members, SM seems to be a challenge since there were also other cosplay groups that have occupied most of the space. But, the day was still very fun as it was NCG was interviewed by Stanley Chi from the Front Act Show.

The official NCG shirt was also distributed on this day for those who have already ordered. ans its still available up to now. Members were also active in the competitions like the eating contests, the group and the individual cosplay events. And it seems that up to this time, NCG is getting more known in the Philippine Cosplay scene as  it increases in number and also with the people who are connected with the guild.

The bonding experience at Ozine is still fun despite some few minor problems, the guild becomes more like a family as time passes by, and even after the events, members are still active on the facebook page which have more than a hundred posts per day.  The officers still keeps the order in the page and constantly reminds the rules of the page. So far, there is still no official event for the next EB, either it will be at the GO KAISHO on May 8 or AniCon, or Toy Con.

For this, stay tuned...

After TAGCOM last February, another cosplay event happens on Robinson's Place Manila Midtown and this time its more on cosplay. The 3rd Philippine Cosplay Competition is made for cosplayers in the metro as it is becoming the newest convention for cosplayers' in the first quarter of the year. The PCC consist on more cosplay activities and competitions as well as serving Anime Otakus and enthusiasts. Its the 2nd time this event happened in the same venue since the midtown section was completed 2 years ago. But it was very worth it since it is perfect for all kinds of costumes, either a big mech robot, or a kawaii school girl would perfectly fit in. It also provides a nice spot for photographers to make perfect shots with less lighting since sunlight would pass trough the entrance. PCC is always held in Robinson's which hopes to attract cosplayers who would attend cons held at SM malls. Though a new kind of anime con, the elements are very similar like cosplay, anime and bands which is the standard. However, PCC would be favorable like TAGCOM since there is no entrance fee which more people can attend and draws more audience since its just beside the mall entrance
The PCC would actually may need to have some time to gain a reputation as a major con since its very new and would need to have a very interesting feature that can attract more people. But since the cosplay  community is quickly pacing with an increasing number, this event provides a supplement in paving the way for the other Anime and Cosplay cons usually on the 3rd or 4th quarter of the year.

The Nosebleed Cosplayers' Guild is present at this event as it prepares for the 2nd grand EB at the Ozine fest on April 11. And since the venue is the same like the TAGCOM EB on February, gathering the guild has been more easy though the number of attendees is less than those who attended the TAGCOM probably due to the date which is still a day for a lot of events like the Playstation launch at Glorietta and some students are either in school, gathering requirements or graduating. Nevertheless, the guild still had a good time in meeting the new members and also planning for the next cons to come within the year.

There were spotted new costumes for the guild members and the other cosplayers. According to a survey made within the guild, most of the members liked girl cosplayers as their favorites. Preparations are also in the works for the next EB and also for the official NCG shirts to be available. More things are coming for the guild as the major cons are fast approaching...I can' believe that its already April!

Next stop now is Ozine Fest!

On March 20, 2010. There is no official anime or cosplay convention, nor strip. But for NCG this is the first event organized exclusively for NCG. Palimos ng Pag-ibig, a fund raising event by doing cosplay inside a mall. There were two venues, SM Megamall and SM Mall of Asia. And it was unforgettable date to remember. Since this is the guild's event, no big sponsors, no artistas, no lights and sounds, but just pure fun cosplay. The rule is just simple, just go around the mall and do cosplay and ask for some donation. And since cosplay is always a head turner, many people would really notice us and take pictures. Of course, there were some incidents of children crying because they see scary characters, but so far many loved it!
Well since we were strolling inside the mall and getting attention, there were incidents that the guards there would shoo us away. Even though it may spoil the fun, we still continued on in walking, taking pictures, posing, and even talking to people since not everyone inside the mall knows the existence of cosplay.
Not all of the NCG members are in cosplay, they were the one who would assist us in our quest. Some did the drawing, some the photography, and some even helped in the make up. The most fun part is the picture taking and posing which lasted the whole day. And since it was a saturday, there were a lot of surprises

When we were at SM Megamall, it seems at first that nobody knows why we are there. And also we were all new with our campaign, but what the heck! We continued on reaching to the 3rd floor and quite made a good amount. It was 4 pm when we left Megamall to continue the fun at the Mall of Asia.
The trip to MoA was very fun since we almost filled the whole bus! It seemed more like a field trip than a regular commuting. When we finally made it to MoA, we headed toward the bayside. It was dusk at that time but it also seems to be a perfect opportunity for us to again to do our move especially since we have learned from our experience earlier. We were stationed beside an airball play area which the sign says WOW BALLS!, thus the immortal name we are always discussing. Remembring that it was a Saturday, we are also surprised when the fireworks display started. Coincidentally, It seems like MoA is celebrating our arrival at their grounds. We did better this time since there where more people and we did not even moved out of our place. However, we again encountered guards when we moved to the fountain area and decided to end the cosplaying but not the fun!
We had some snacks and a lot of picture taking at that area. Even without the costumes, NCG members still catch attention with our poses. And just after an hour, we finally decided to go home with some are going to have more bonding at Decdec's house. It was very obvious for all who attended that it was a swell day, and all have one thing in mind: WOW BALLS!

next stop: PCC 2010!

TAGCOM and NCG First Grand Eyeball!

Today was again the time for a convention for Toys & Hobbies Convention, and this time it was held at Robinsons Place Manila Midtown Atrium. That part of the mall is the newest extension and also the most widest, perfect for conducting events such as these. And with this event, of course there would be a lot of people that regularly stroll the mall would be able to see them and also pass by the shops and displays inside. The good thing about this event is the fact that its not enclosed inside a convention center and there is no entrance fee. Thus, everyone can get a chance to be part of the convention and also a higher chance of making profit for the stores there.

TAGCOM is a haven for toy and anime enthusiasts since there were merchandise for die cast, scaled models and other tools and accessories devoted for the craft. There was also a competition of the best in die cast and scaled models which I find very impressive. Pinoy craftsmen can now be proud to be great toymakers and scalers in the international scene. Every  detail has been carefully been made even with a meticulous eye. Of course, models from anime and American comic books also in demand with the crowd, there were also DVDs and accessories shop which makes it a one stop shop.

And of course, TAGCOM also smells cosplay for its two days. For this event, its also special to me since this will be the first grand eyeball of my cosplay clan, the Nosebleed Cosplay group which has more than 700 members and counting! However there were a hundred plus member who shoed up for the EB but it was very overwhelming since we almost dominated the TAGCOM event. We also had a tarpulin and even conquered the McDonalds store. There, we had the french fries festival, as in an overflowing of fries in a tray! But its not the food or the tarp that made our day, it was the new aquaintances and bonding that the guild had.

The guild had a memorable time of doing the thing we like best, cosplaying and since there were a lot of enthusiasts and photographers, the member had their time in striking a pose. So far, not all in the guild were wearing costumes, some are there to assist with the costumes and some are more of the anime fanatics that have prowess in drawing.  We are now looking forward to more cosplay events in the future especially Ozine fest in April.

Welcome to the Nosebleed Cosplayers's Guild blog!

We would like to welcome you to the blog of the Noseblees Cosplayers' Guild Blog site. Here you can know more about the cosplay guild which is collectively called NCG. Formed in 2010, the guild has almost a thousand members to date. The guild aims of gathering cosplay enthusiasts, anime lovers, otakus and all other people that have interest and in support of the art of cosplay.

The guild was formed using the social networking site facebook and grew in number in less than a month. The guild's page hase been a favorite for the members since there would be post all day. There, the guild had organized its first grand eyeball at the TAGCOM event at Robinsons last February 27, 2010. The second one is set to be on Ozine fest on April.

The guild is also proud of its officers that are mostly dedicated and most are still students like the members. And since the love for anime run through our veins, the joy of anime and cosplay is insatiable. We aim to attend more conventions in the future and also would have guild events. So if you are into our purpose, we would like to be part of the guild. Just don't forget to follow rules and regulations to avoid any complications. The NCG is more like a second family that takes care of each of its members. So let it bleed!
